Joel Gajewski is a seasoned healthcare administrator with broad expertise in operations, contracting, business process improvement, logistics, human resources, marketing, and strategic planning. He currently serves as the Director of Operations at Highland Park Animal Hospital in Dallas, Texas, where he manages all facets of a high-volume veterinary hospital and boarding facility in a dynamic metropolitan setting.
Previously, Joel was a Strategic Sourcing Lead at Steward Health Care, specializing in contract drafting and negotiations—particularly in orthopedic, spine, and biologic implant procurement. He also spent over a decade at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he refined his skills in administrative coordination, budgeting, marketing, and contract management.
Joel began his career in healthcare administration as an Office Coordinator at Medical Evaluators of Texas, overseeing physician scheduling and human resources. He has also supported clinical leadership as Executive Assistant to psychiatrist Dr. Madhukar Trivedi, and led national campaigns as a Marketing Tour Manager with Aspen Marketing Services.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Wayne State University, providing a strong foundation for his communication and leadership skills throughout his multifaceted career.
Outside of work, Joel enjoys exploring the many mountain biking trails around Dallas and is always on the lookout for a new adventure. A fan of storytelling in all its forms, he gravitates toward books and films across nearly every genre. Although he spends his days around animals, he's still patiently waiting to find just the right pet to call his own.
