Position Summary: 

Canine Country Club and Wellness Center is a dual-location boarding, grooming and wellness center. We are looking for a professional receptionist to be a part of this unique business. Because you are the first and last contact for our clients, you are the key to creating lasting impressions. If you have a passion for people and their pets with extraordinary client service skills and communication, outstanding computer abilities, accurate financial skills, and a consistently positive attitude we would love to have you as part of our team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Greet clients and pets with enthusiasm 
  • Answer phones promptly and professionally; screen and route calls 
  • Be proficient in using our veterinary practice-management software 
  • Receive and transmit emails, and social media direct messages 
  • Take and deliver accurate messages promptly to appropriate staff 
  • Note in medical records the details discussed during client conversations including the date, time, key points of the discussion and any action required 
  • Coordinate with doctors and technical staff for complete medical care 
  • Discuss services provided and answer client questions thoroughly 
  • Schedule appointments according to guidelines 
  • Handling payments and end of day finances 
  • Maintain cleanliness of client and reception areas 
  • Discuss and have clients sign intake paperwork 
  • Coordinate logistics between our Ranch Retreat and our Dallas facility regarding guest care and reservations 

Requirements: 

  • High school or equivalent (Required) 
  • Experience in veterinary reservation software or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability and willingness to assist staff 
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong phone skills 
  • Strong computer skills 
  • Ability to problem solve on the spot
