Dr. Rachel Kennedy

Veterinarian


Dr. Rachel Kennedy grew up just outside of Austin, Texas in Lake Travis. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Biology and received and Business Foundation Certificate, focused in health-centered entrepreneurship.

She worked for a year as a technician at a mixed animal practice in Dripping Springs, Texas before attending Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated Cum Laude. Her professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, cardiology and ophthalmology.

Most importantly, she loves nurturing the human-animal bond by supporting owners in becoming an essential part of their animal's care. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Associations. She is also Fear Free Certified, and Recover Certified BLS and ALS Rescuer.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Kennedy enjoys spending time outdoors playing tennis, golf or learning to sail. At home, her and her boyfriend, John have a black rescue lab named Luna, a rescue Catahoula named Jade and a cat named Janis Joplin.
